Nadia Mahmud is a Sabahan filmmaker and 3D Generalist based in Kuala Lumpur. Her current focus in cinephotomicrography began in 2015 with “Microspace” which captured images of every day organic materials to reflect alien, outer-space visuals. Since then, she has produced with various collaborators, several short films using microscopic videos to explore and discover patterns and textures of our world usually unnoticed by the naked human eyes.

Outside of her microscopic film interest, she is also an educator in the Animation and Visual Effects Programmes at the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University where she teaches 3D surfacing and look development as well as animation design.
