Nadia Mahmud is a Sabahan filmmaker, cinephotomicrographer, and 3D artist based in Kuala Lumpur. Her practice explores the intersection of art, science, and perception through microscopic imaging, revealing materiality, texture, and the unseen. Beginning with Microspace (2015), she has developed a body of experimental films and media works that transform everyday organic materials into immersive, otherworldly landscapes. Her projects have been exhibited internationally across Malaysia, South Korea, and Thailand, contributing to discourse in experimental media, research creation, and interdisciplinary art practices.

Alongside her artistic practice, she is an educator in 3D Surfacing and Look Development at Multimedia University (MMU), where she also serves as Dean of the Faculty of Creative Multimedia. Her academic work bridges creative practice and education, shaping new approaches to 3D design, visual storytelling, and industry collaboration.
